Scientists from Argentina have proven the effectiveness of the Russian vaccine against the Sputnik V coronavirus: it produces a high level of IGG and virus neutralizing antibodies. This was reported in the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
As part of a study by Argentine scientists published in the international peer-reviewed journal Cell Reports Medicine, the production of specific antibodies after vaccination of 288 medical workers in Argentina was evaluated, the titers of IGG antibodies and the neutralizing ability after one and two injections of the Russian vaccine of people who had already suffered from the disease and had not previously been ill were analyzed.
Scientists noted that 94 percent of people who had not previously had coronavirus had a strong immune response after the first dose of the vaccine was administered, and there were no obvious advantages of administering the second dose to those who had already been ill. According to the authors, the use of only the first component of Sputnik V (the Sputnik Lite vaccine) is sufficient to protect the health of those who have been ill.
In July, the French Foreign Ministry called on EU countries not to recognize coronavirus vaccines developed in Russia and China. This statement was made by the Secretary of State at the French Foreign Ministry, Clement Bon.
In response to a request to comment on the position of the French Foreign Ministry, the research director of the French Medical Research Institute INSERM, Marie-Paul Kieni, told Lenta.ru”, that I have not heard the statement, but considers Sputnik V an effective drug. Kieni stressed that the scientific publications of the Gamalei Institute confirm the RDIF data on the effectiveness of the Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus infection.
